BABYBEE CO: Pizza. So many different toppings to choose from and it's SO good cold.
CS: What's your favourite vacation spot? Why?
BC: Cottage. Love spending time with my kids in the sun enjoying each other's company while we fish, jump in the lake and go boating.
CS: Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.
BC: Born and raised in London Ontario, I have recently moved back to London (lived in Toronto for about 13 years with hubby) to be closer to family. I have three beautiful babies. 6, 4 and almost 2. I am a stay at home mom and started BABYBEE as an outlet for my creative energy once the kids are asleep at night. My husband and I have been together for 17 years (married for 9).
CS: Describe your creative style.
BC: Simple, modern, natural
CS: How did you get into crafting?
BC: When my second was born I needed to start something to get my creative juices out so I started a side business called Woodchuk where I made charcuterie boards, wood signs and growth rulers. Then I started getting into the teethers just a few months ago. Just looking at all the different colours and patterns, it was so fun to come up with different ideas.
CS: What was the first thing you ever made?
BC: A last name wood sign for my really good friends as a Christmas present.
CS: What project/product are you most proud of?
BC: I love our newest pacifier clip made from small 9mm beads. It's super lightweight for newborns and is so super cute
CS: What does your current work space look like?
BC: It's my kitchen counter 😂 We have a huge island in our kitchen so I like to work there sometimes during the day so I can keep an eye on the kids while they are playing and then at night I'm still on the main floor to hear the kids if they wake up. My husband works from home, so he has dibs on our front room office.
CS: What does your dream work space look like?
BC: White white white. Love the freshness of white walls and white furniture. It's clean and organized with lots of natural light
CS: How do you balance work and home life?
BC: I find the balance to be very easy. I am a stay at home mom, so I spend my days with the kids(when they aren't in school) and then nap time and evenings to work and pin new ideas from Pinterest.
CS: Where do you see your business going in the next five years?
BC: That is a very tough question for me. Right now I am just taking it day by day. Trying to get my company out there and reaching out to influencers to help promote my product and try to stand out from the crowd.
CS: What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own small business?
BC: Stay passionate and don't let it turn into a chore. If you stop loving it, you loose the drive.
CS: What do you love most about Chomp?
BC: They have amazing product selection and I love watching Savanna's insta stories. She is so funny.
CS: What would you like to see Chomp carry in the future?
BC: Wood letter beads. PLEASE!!!
